❗Shop is on a Holiday Break until Jan 3rd❗
Due to a small injury (nothing serious) and regular pregnancy-related pains, I've decided to start the Holiday break a little bit earlier than intended, to take time to relax and recover. The shop will open again on Jan 3rd!
Digital items are still available! All physical products are shown as "Sold out" to prevent accidental orders and will be back in stock on Jan 3rd!
If you left an order before the break, it will be shipped during the next few days. :) If you have a question regarding your order, please don't hesitate to contact at contact@papermonogatari.com even during the break!

🇺🇸 New Priority Shipping Option to the US!
Since regular (national) shipping to the US is still fully suspended from Japan, I have added a temporary Tracked Priority Shipping Option via Yamato Transport (once the packages reach the US, they are delivered by UPS)!

Shipping Cost depends on total order value:
- Order value up to 99.99 USD: Shipping 20 USD
- Order value 100-199.99 USD: Shipping 10 USD
- Free Shipping on orders over 200 USD!

What is the shipping time?
After I have shipped your package, it should arrive within 7 days on normal occasion. However, there are usually delays during the Holiday season, so please allow some extra time for this!

Do I need to pay a tariff tax?
Unfortunately, there might be roughly 15% tariff tax upon delivery. The information is very unclear, so I can't estimate the exact amount. Tariff tax is determined by the product value in the package, product HS-code and country of origin. I will use the HS-code of 4811.41 (self-adhesive washi tapes and stickers), which are marked as free of tariff tax on the HS-code list. However, at the same time, all products from Japan should have 15% tariff, or there might be a flat rate added as a customs clearance fee. If you don't want to pay the tariff cost, I kindly ask you to refrain from ordering, because I will need to pay a penalty fee for returned packages due to unpaid customs fees!

Can I still keep my old product reservation/reserve the new items?
Yes! :) I understand that the new shipping option is more expensive than the regular shipping, so reserving any of the new items is possible (apart from Clearance Sale items). Please send me an email to contact@papermonogatari.com if you would like to reserve any products from the new collections! I will put those products aside so that you can get them once the regular shipping is possible again. However, please keep in mind that the shop will close around February (see Maternity Leave Information below), so if the shipping is not back until then, I'm afraid that you will need to wait for a very long time. :(

🍼 Maternity Leave in 2026!
As I'm writing this (in December 2025) I'm currently 21 weeks pregnant with our first baby! :') Our due date is in April 2026 and since packing and carrying orders to the post office has started to get more difficult, I'm planning to close the shop around early February.
The shop will stay closed until late Summer/Fall 2026 depending on our babys demands and my recovery. During this time, digital items are still available and there will be more added during Spring 2026! :)
I'm the one and only worker here behind Paper Monogatari, so unfortunately, when I'm out of the picture, there is no one running the show. I really hope to open things up as soon as possible, while still prioritising my family! There probably won't be as many new releases for a while even after the shop opens, but eventually the goal is to start launching new collections again! :)
